After his endtime debut “Apokalypse”, SCHWARZE ENGEL again soars skywards to spread his baleful visions, to whisper demonic messages into our nightmares and to darken the skies with his majestic wings. On his brandnew EP “Geister und Dämonen” (“Ghosts and Demons”), the Lord of the Crows raises the unutterable shadows of his soul from their deathlike slumber, unleashing them among us in the shape of four news hymns to the end of the world.

And there will be no happy ending this time: It may only have been a couple of months since “Apokalypse” came upon us, and yet the crowlike musical art sounds more determined, more epic and more memorable while still retaining the massive momentum of the debut. A ghastly scenario springs to life, built upon raging guitars, stomping drums, dark and sonorous vocals and a haunted atmosphere reminiscent of enchanted TIM BURTON movies. “Geister und Dämonen” makes one thing crystal clear: SCHWARZE ENGEL is the new generation of abysmal tunes, the contemporary visage of groundbreaking acts like RAMMSTEIN, ASP, THE VISION BLEAK or SAMSAS TRAUM – and the Lord of the Crows is the prophet of doom for this new era.

Aside from the title track, joining dark as well as club-oriented Metal with a seductive lullaby melody and a bombastic refrain, it most notably is the relentless “Club Edit” of “Mitternacht” that won’t leave your ears and legs for al long time to come. Dark clubs of this world, beware: The Lord of the Crows has come for you. And he is not alone: Martin Schindler of MANTUS fame joins forces with him and put “Geister und Dämonen” through his machineries, thereby giving birth to a remix somewhere between spooky fairground and classic Gothic sounds that will haunt your dreams for a long time to come.
